The Theseus Loop

NeuronSpark's AI forward-deployed engineering system. The business keeps running while one plank is replaced at a time: each starts from a purpose, is registered in advance, and is verified against the client's own records before it stays, goes or is crystallized.

The Theseus loopTen steps form a loop: trust and scope, a light dossier, final causes, baseline and pre-registration, picking a plank, connecting slots, staged autonomy, verification, crystallization and rebuilding know-how; after verification the loop returns to final causes for the next plank. In the middle sit the smallest unit, one swap, and a pixel ship having a plank replaced.STEP 00Trust & scopeRead-only firstSTEP 01Light dossierNo full data dumpSTEP 02Final causesOne metric per purposeSTEP 03Pre-registerBaseline before the swapSTEP 04Pick a plankSmall · reversible · usedSTEP 05Connect slotsOnly what it needsSTEP 06Staged autonomyShadow → HITL → autoSTEP 07VerifyKeep · retire · reviewSTEP 08CrystallizeReproduced, then storedSTEP 09Rebuild know-howFrom verified planksRead-only · least privilegeHumans approve irreversiblesSystems-of-record listFinal-cause interviewGuardrail metricsEvent logs · process miningBaseline from client recordsKill criteriaFrozen when the window opensCost-of-delay rankingData contracts · idempotencyPull data by purposeAdoption rateAccuracy rateAdoption championExecution gatewayReadings from client systemsControl group · time seriesBlind-review agreementPer-plank unit economicsTwo runs or human reviewAssets: rules · cases · factsReuse countOntology: object/link/actionTHE UNITONE SWAPPurpose → register → swap → verifyKeep · retire · crystallizeThe smallest unit of Theseus.Everything else exists to serve this loop.SHIP OF THESEUS · one plank at a time, still sailingnext plank
  1. RULE 1

    Purpose before data

A corpus has no purpose of its own. Start from one final cause and pull only the data it needs.

  2. RULE 2

    Baseline before the swap

Pre-swap readings can't be recovered later. Without registered thresholds, results can't be falsified.

  3. RULE 3

    Know-how grows from verified planks

Once several planks pass, extract objects, links and actions, and measure how often stored knowledge is reused.

Only three things stay with people: the final-cause interview (remote is fine), an adoption champion inside the client, and approval of irreversible actions. Everything else can be done online.

Theseus · the FDE system behind NeuronSpark

Theseus is the AI forward-deployed engineering system NeuronSpark developed for its own work. The name comes from the Ship of Theseus: the business keeps sailing while we replace one plank at a time (a form, a manual approval, a heavy piece of software) with an agent or an automated workflow. It stays the same ship, and every plank is better than the one it replaced.

  1. 01

    Purpose first

Each plank states why it exists, which business goal it serves, and how that will be measured.

  2. 02

    Measure before and after

Every swap is measured before and after. If no difference can be measured, the swap is not finished.

  3. 03

    Irreversible steps stay with people

Every tool is marked as reversible or not. An action that cannot be undone needs a person's approval.

  4. 04

    Every run is recorded

Success, failure and "did not run" are recorded separately, so every swap can be traced.
